Bradesco is a model company according to the 2009
Exame Sustainability Guide
Dear Sir or Madam,
Banco
Bradesco (BOVESPA: BBDC3, BBDC4; NYSE: BBD; and Latibex:
XBBDC) is ranked among Brazil's 20 model companies in the
2009 edition of the Exame Sustainability Guide's. The
ranking is based on a methodology developed by the Getúlio
Vargas Foundation, which considers financial, social and
environmental criteria, in addition to corporate
commitments, transparency, conduct and governance.
Bradesco was highlighted for accelerating the banking
inclusion of people at the base of the earnings pyramid,
mainly through Banco Postal, a partnership with the
Brazilian postal service, whose network covers more than
5,000 municipalities throughout the country.
Banco Postal permits the opening of checking accounts and
provides various products and services, such as bill payment
and the reception of retirement benefits, as well as
facilitating access to credit for low-income earners.
For Bradesco, this recognition of its social and
environmental commitments is a reason for pride. At the same
time, being a model company means accepting an even higher
level of responsibility and commitment to sustainable
practices.

environmental initiatives in Bradesco's 2008 Sustainability

Cordially,
Banco Bradesco S.A.
