Juros sobre o Capital
Próprio do 1º trimestre de 2007
O Conselho Diretor do Banco do Brasil, reunido em
20/03/2007, aprovou o valor de R$ 321.069.847,70 a
título de remuneração aos acionistas sob a forma de
Juros sobre o Capital Próprio (JCP), relativo ao
primeiro trimestre de 2007, o que representa R$ 0,389026
por ação.
Esse valor será imputado ao dividendo mínimo obrigatório
referente ao 1º semestre de 2007, nos termos do artigo
44 do Estatuto Social do Banco do Brasil S.A. e do
parágrafo 7º do artigo 9º da Lei 9.249/95.
Os JCP serão pagos em 29/05/2007 e terão como base a
posição acionária de 21/03/2007, sendo as transferências
de ações a partir de 22/03/2007 efetuadas "ex" JCP.
Haverá retenção de imposto de renda na fonte sobre o
valor do JCP de acordo com a legislação vigente. As
pessoas jurídicas com dispensa da referida tributação
deverão comprovar esta condição até 20/05/2007, em
qualquer agência do BB.

Information to Shareholders
Interest on Own Capital – 1st Quarter 2007
We hereby inform that Banco do Brasil's Board of
Officers, on March 20th, 2007, approved the distribution
of R$321,069,847.70 as interest on own capital related
to the 1st quarter of 2007, which represents R$0.389026
per share.
That amount will be imputed to the 1H07 mandatory
minimum dividend, according to the Article 44 of Banco
do Brasil's Bylaws and pursuant to the § 7th of Article
9th of the Law 9.249/95.
The interest on own capital will be paid on May 29th,
2007 and the record date for the payment will be March
21st, 2007 and shares will be negotiated "ex interest on
own capital" from March 22nd, 2007.
According to the Brazilian legislation, there will be
retention of income tax on the interest on own capital.
Those shareholders that are released from withholding
income tax must prove this condition until May 25th,
2007 in any of the Bank's branches.
